Details of our coaching staff can be found on this page. Coaching Staff The Club currently has 2 qualified coaches providing all coaching activities to all members of our playing staff from the youngest to the oldest. If you would like to contact any of our coaches then please contact them in person or via the Club's email address philadelphia.ccc@gmail.com . Tom Raine Tom joined the Club at the age of 12 and broke into the 1st team at 15. Apart from brief spells at Murton and Castle Eden, Tom has played all of his career at the Club. Tom is a fully qualified coach having obtained an ECB Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Young People and Adults, is DBS checked and has a Safeguarding Young Cricketers certificate. Tom currently manages the Under 18s team and is the Lead Activator for the Club's popular All Stars programme. Adam McGuire Adam joined the Club in 2002 and represented the County until the age of 18 and played in various r epresentative league sides at various age groups. Adam has played 1st team cricket since age 14/15 and has been at the Club for over 17 years apart from a brief 2 year spell elsewhere. Adam is a fully qualified coach having obtained an ECB Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Young People and Adults and is DBS checked and has a Safeguarding Young Cricketers certificate.

Looking for a room for your event? Recently renovated to a very high standard, the Malcolm Pratt Lounge can be configured to suit your requirements. The room has patio doors leading to the cricket ground and provides panoramic views of the cricket ground. Can accommodate up to 100 people. Malcolm Pratt Lounge This room is self-contained with its own access to the bar serving area. It has recently been renovated to a very high standard and can be configured to suit your requirements. The room has patio doors leading to the cricket ground and has several large windows providing a panoramic view of the cricket ground. The room has access to a kitchen if required and also contains disabled toilet facilities and can be configured to provide a dance floor. The room will accommodate any size of party up to 100 people.

Links for Life - Sunderland The Club is pleased to announce that it is in partnership with Sunderland City Council to help deliver its "Links for Life - Sunderland" initiative. The initiative is the successor to the "Warm Spaces" initiative which the Club ran successfully until its completion in July 2023. Please click here for more details. Working with Sunderland City Council, Links for Life aims to help as many people as possible, whether it's helping directly with a problem or simply sitting down with a cup of tea. We are open for Links for Life on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 12 pm - 2pm and on Sundays from 12 pm - 4 pm. But you don't need to attend, if you need help just give us a ring on 0191 3890484 and we'll do our best to assist you. Some of the things we can help with are: - walking aids of various kinds, do you need an aid, if you already have an aid is it right for you. - energy efficiency - Eon will carry out a survey of your property and if you are eligible will install cavity wall and loft insulation. THERE IS ABSOLUTLY NO CHARGE FOR THIS SERVICE. - mental health - many people are suffering as a result of the financial crisis, if you need help we can arrange for a confidential appointment for you. But Links for Life can help in other ways. Do you need advice about your health, finances, housing, or indeed any matter, working with the Council, we are here to help. The Club holds an annual summer festival. Further details will follow, so keep watching as buying tickets before the event is highly recommended due to the popularity of this event. Summer Festival 28 - 30/06/2024 We are pleased to inform you that the Summer Festival, which is the Club's biggest money-raising event of the year, will go ahead from 28th to 30th June 2024. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Friday, 28th June We begin the weekend with a Bonkers Bingo (£10 per player) and Karaoke night. Tickets are now available for this event. Details of our winter indoor nets Winter Indoor Nets 2022/23 Several Dates JUNIORS The Club is offering free coaching to all juniors at our Winter Indoor Nets and they will also be offered free membership for the 2023 season. The junior indoor nets recommence at Castle View Academy on Tuesday 24th January 2023. They will take place from 7 pm - 8 pm for six weeks. The Management Committee is anxious that any youngster wanting to play cricket should not be deterred because of cost and all juniors will be made welcome. Can you please pass on this information to anyone who might be interested in playing for the club. Former Durham County Head Coach Geoff Cook is leading the coaching assisted by Club coaches Tom Acton, Tom Raine, Billy Bailey and Dean Caris. Anyone interested in attending can just turn up or, for more information, contact Tom Acton on 0795 816 0145 or Billy Bailey on 0780 923 3787 . SENIORS Senior nets will be held at the Riverside commencing Monday 16th January from 8pm - 9 pm and will last for six weeks. If you know anyone else who may be interested in attending, please invite them along. The more the merrier! In addition, any player who is no longer a junior and would qualify to pay a senior player fee, will be asked to pay only half the fee if they are in further education or unemployed. The fee for this category is £40.
