Links for Life - Sunderland

The Club is pleased to announce that it is in partnership with Sunderland City Council to help deliver its

"Links for Life - Sunderland" initiative. The initiative is the successor to the "Warm Spaces" initiative which the Club ran successfully until its completion in July 2023.

Please click here for more details.

Working with Sunderland City Council, Links for Life aims to help as many people as possible, whether it's helping directly with a problem or simply sitting down with  a cup of tea.

We are open for Links for Life on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 12 pm - 2pm and on Sundays from 12 pm - 4 pm.
But you don't need to attend, if you need help just give us a ring on 0191 3890484 and we'll do our best to assist you.

Some of the things we can help with are:

- walking aids of various kinds, do you need an aid, if you already have an aid is it right for you.

- energy efficiency - Eon will carry out a survey of your property and if you are eligible will install cavity wall and loft insulation.    THERE IS ABSOLUTLY NO CHARGE FOR THIS SERVICE.

- mental health - many people are suffering as a result of the financial crisis, if you need help we can arrange for a confidential appointment for you.

But Links for Life can help in other ways.

Do you need advice about your health, finances,  housing, or indeed any matter, working with the Council, we are here to help.

Please feel free to pass on this information to anyone who you think might benefit.

In partnership with Sunderland City Council and the Durham Wildlife Trust (durhamwt.com), we are pleased to announce that we are carrying out a social and gentle circular walk along Success Railway and Herrington Burn on Thursday, 23rd May 2024 from 12.30pm until 1.30pm.
